Node fail over if unrelated devices go down

I need my HAAst node to fail over if a device in my local data center goes down. The device is manageable over the network at address 1.2.3.4 [address changed by Telium support] in case that matters. How can I do this?

All HA for PBX based on open source?

I'm researching HA products for our PBX. We run an Asterisk PBX with approx. 300 active calls at any time. We use a config generator (but only to create our config files, nothing else). Someone told me that every HA for Asterisk on the market uses the same open source packages, so they're all the sa...

Send SNMP trap on failover

For system monitoring I'd like to see a SNMP trap once there has been a switchover of the HAAst peers. Perhaps one trap for demotion of the active peer, and a second trap for promotion of the standby peer. How could I do this?

Power on/off VHF radios on active/standby server

We have VHF radios connected to Asterisk as a SIP->VHF->SIP repeaters, across two mountain ranges. We recently setup a backup tower on another mountain, and created a HAAst link between the two originating stations. In order to conserve power at the stations we would like to power off radios/amplifi...

What are sensors, and was does the GUI show "0" all the time

I have HAAst working great, and is seems to detect every problem I throw at it. The only thing I can't figure out is the 'sensors' graph in the GUI. What's it for, and how do I make sensors appear on this graph? (It's stuck at 0)

Web GUI forbidden / unauthorized error on access

When I try to access my web GUI I get a forbidden / unauthorized error. I may have accidentally done something while messing with files - so I'm not sure what is causing this. It worked great before I started messing around.

What have I done? How do I fix it?

Re: License file rejected

I changed the network card to a faster one. Why would HAAst care? Do you really need this activation stuff?

Permanent ban of IP

There are a couple of addresses that regularly attack my PBX and I want to permanently ban them (no expiration). Is that possible?

QObject error message starting with -f parameter

When I start your program (using the -f parameter) I see errors on screen. Mostly unintelligible stuff with words like "QObject". What is going wrong?

Creating a HA LCR / Proxy server (cluster)

We have an Asterisk based proxy server through which we route approximately 1500 simultaneous calls. The proxy server also does LCR (Least Cost Routing) using a combination of Asterisk dialplan rules and MySQL database information. In order to improve our uptime we want to introduce High Availabilit...
